Ultima Ratio Regum - King Louis XIV of France had this motto stamped on all the cannons forged during his reign.

He does not remember where he comes from. He does not remember how he gained his armor, nor his weaponry. He does not remember training with them, nor does he remember the victories he's obviously won, judging by the nicks and notches on blade and shield.

His name, he chose himself, however. Translate from Latin, it means:

The Last Argument of Kings.

Where combat is a last resort, there he stands, holding the line, that none may breach while he lives.
