Part of a genetic experiment to produce "supersoldiers", Friday No.1 is the last ofhis particular production run. Created as an embryo late on a friday, and being seen as slightly different from the rest of his run, he was nicknamed "Friday" though his official designation was No.6 with a coresponding rank of private.
Put down to defend a section of land and wait for reinforcements, his squad held for an inordinate amount of time waiting for them. They never showed. But the enemies did, in great numbers.
In the end only Friday was standing, and with his dying breath No.1 promted him to Captain and charged him with destroying those who had sent the attackers. He has since discovered that it was the company that created them and they viewed it as "field testing".
He is bringing home the results...with interest.
