Character Bio

Jason Sands was a theoretical physicist working in the area of gravitation. After some discussions with a friend who was an engineer, they thought they could build a device that would allow them to control gravity to a certain extent.
Since the experiment was off the books they were not constrained by the need to make sure everything went "by the book" and they cut corners. Particularly in the area of safety.
When they activated the device it promptly exploded.
Waking up in Paragon General, Jason was surprised to discover that he now had some of the abilities they were looking for in the device. However, he also learned that his friend had died in the explosion.
His friend had wanted to make the device to aid the Paragon Police Department in its battle against superpowered villains so he chose to become a superhero in his memory.
