Character Bio

Life doesn't always go quite the way you expect.

Lauren Hobson never tried to be a hero. She was raised by parents who manipulated the system for their own gain. She fled Paragon City with them when their charade was exposed. She turned, violently and irrevocably, against one parent after his betrayal of the other. When the dust cleared, she was alone in the Rogue Isles, a freelancer, a mercenary... a villain.

She was content to live in the margins of history, to make enough money to continue her technological research, and to be left alone. Arachnos and its backstabbing ways held no appeal. Lauren didn't set out to form any lasting alliances, or to become embroiled in power struggles, or to risk her own neck by crossing the powers that ran the Isles.

In the end, she did all of those things. For the sake of a friend, she risked and lost everything she had -- and nearly her life.

One heroic failure has led Lauren back to the side of light.

Where life takes her from here is up to her.
