Character Bio

In the dimension known as the Council Empire, heroes are few and far between. A few resistance cells fight against overwhelming numbers and impossible odds.

Tasha Thornton's parents, Boston-based heroes Midnight Call and Soul Blaze, led one cell, before falling victim to infiltration and betrayal in 1997. They and their comrades were interrogated and killed. A few of those heroes children, including 14-year-old Tasha, were used for a black project run by a splinter group angling for control of the organization.

The children, selected by the Council based on genetic mutations or magical aptitude, were forcibly merged with a Nictus. The plan was for the Kheldian's force of will to overwhelm and reshape the mind of its young host, creating a potent, blindly loyal soldier.

In some cases, the experiment worked. In Tasha's, thankfully, it did not.

Freed during a Freedom Phalanx raid, she fights and trains so that she may one day free her homeland.
