Character Bio

Professor Reginald Drake was once a respected geneticist at the prestigious Paragon University. While his peers lauded him for his research in gene therapy, his heart was never really in it. He yearned for something more... more obsessive, more outrageous, more MAD! Taking the advice of an infomercial, he began a home-study course in Mad Science (as well as in Hotel & Restaurant Management, but that hasn't really panned out). After stumbling across a DNA sample from one of Mercy Isle's snakemen, he recalled a paper on Rikti mutagens. It was so obvious! Create an army of mutant lizardmen and rule the world! Sadly, he was fired from his university job before he could begin testing on orphans, but mad science is not easily discouraged! Using himself as the first test subject, he's been elated with the results. He routinely uses street thugs as hired muscle to steal the money and equipment needed to continue his research, as well as to "recruit volunteers" into his testing program.
