Character Bio

In the waning years of Melissa Carter?s (formally Ms America) life she adopted a baby girl (Isabelle) to raise and fill the void her crime fighting days had left in her life. In madding act of over protectiveness, Carter offered to allow her and her daughter to be the test subjects in DNA splicing surgery that would essentially grant her daughter superhuman abilities.

The procedure worked, but not without scaring the young girl emotionally. Without the proper teacher Isabelle?s powers developed sporadically and often were uncontrollable until she grew so unstable she was forced away from home and into a Hero Training Program run by Freedom Corps. Belle returned home at 18 only to have her mother demand she take on the mantle of ?Ms America? to continue the legacy. She declined and burned the costume for what her mother had done.

Belle has reluctantly accepted her task as one of Paragon City?s heroes but forever seeks a way to reverse her condition so she can lead a normal life.
