Some heroes are born. Some are made. And some are just too stupid to be anything else.

Jorgen Handarrsun was a boxer, "was" being the operative word. He really was kinda awful at it; he kept hitting his head against the opponent's gloves, and ended up jarring his brain somethin' fierce. Whatever, Darwin wins in the end, right?

Not this time. Jorgen was hobbling home after a match, dreaming of ibuprofen and skin mags, when OUT OF NOWHERE this big frickin' BATTLE AXE just falls from the air to land at his feet.

He kicked it. Tried to move around it. But the Axe followed him.

He ran, wailing. The Axe followed.

The Axe cornered him in an alleyway. And then, it sank its teeth into his skin. And through that intimate contact to Jorgen's blood, the Axe spoke.

Now, Jorgen realizes that it's not an Axe at all. It's a magic Fang, made mundane in the World of Men. He doesn't wield the Axe. The Axe uses him. Why? Because Jorgen's too afraid to do anything else.
