Using technology originally under development for agricultural use, this armored suit was pressed into use on an emergency basis during the Rikti invasion. The equipment performed brilliantly, so well in fact that the Rikti made a point of blowing up the factory where the equipment was produced. All that survived was this one armored suit and the man who wears it.
