Character Bio

For over a decade, Freddie Burns was a dirty tricks operative for a powerful politician. One night, he was sent to sabotage a museum display that was "too pro-science". Everythign was going well until he was interrupted by Baron Zwinge. He fled as the hero tried to persuade him to renounce his life of crime. Somehow, he could hear the pleas in his mind as he rooted in a dusty backroom, looking for a weapon.

He found one, but he could hardly be prepared for the results. In the dark, he grabbed the ancient Alethios gemstone, a powerful artifact said to contain a primordial spirit of justice. Possibly it was triggered by the Baron's nearby magic, or maybe by Burns' own dark heart. Regardless, he found himself inexorably consumed by the fires of truth and justice.

No longer the man he once was, he is now... Firebound.
