Character Bio

When Valerie Hoshi was ten, she witnessed a supernova.  She stayed up all night, waiting for the bang to reach her.  It wasn't until years later that she understood the vast distances involved.  When she was seventeen, she was accepted to Paragon University, majoring in astrotech.  She couldn't wait.  She applied as soon as possible to work in the LNBC (Large Narraganset Bay Collider, since it was built beneath the bay).  It seemed like the weeks dragged until the first test run.  If only she knew...  Moments after the machine was turned on, a large burst of volatile tachyon plasma broke through the magnetic shielding and bathed her in temporal radiation.  She found her entire body accelerated almost past comprehension.   Never one to look a gift horse in the mouth, she decided to dedicate her spare moments to fighting crime with her typical bright enthusiasm.
