After failing to make the US Olympic team for archery, the man known as "Fletcher Black" had an accident that left him with debilitating injuries in his arms and legs. As he lay in the hospital, feeling sorry for himself, he was approached by a mysterious research facility that was looking for someone to test their new synaptic enhancement suit. It makes him stronger, faster, more accurate than ever before. He lept at the chance and uses his new abilities to help out Paragon City... and the world.
