Character Bio

Dr. Emmanuel Clark was on tenure at Paragon City University's prestigious archeology department when he received word of an ancient city unearthed during one of the major battles between Earth's heroes and the invading Rikti forces. During the process of excavation, Clark discovered a perfectly preserved suit of arrmor within one of the old temples, engravings on which describe it as having once been worn by the angel Israfel in a war against nightmarish demons.

Clark felt strangely compelled to keep the armor a secret and arranged to have it taken back to Paragon CIty. The armor, he would later learn, possesses a will of its own and a drive to battle evil, and was not about to allow itself to be placed in a museum case, perhaps never again to be used. It sensed in Dr. Clark an extensive knowledge of the arcane and a heretofore untapped potential. Once donned, however, the armor effected great changes in Clark, changes even he has not yet fully come to understand.
