Character Bio

B'zaal Drynn comes from the world of Neel, far away from our solar system. He is a member of an elite group of interstellar law enforcers known as the Empyreal Sentries or simply the Empyreals, and our world lies within his protectorate. In times past, the Empyreals were a rare sight on Earth and all but unknown to the powers that be, oftentimes dismissed as myth.

The Empyreal Council first took notice of Earth when strange dimensional activity was detected on their early warning systems. Arriving after the Rikti War, the Sentry assembled a team of superpowered heroes both from Earth and from distant star systems visited in his travels. Together they have become known to the public as the Star Defenders, and under the direction of the Sentry they patrol Earth and nearby space.

As for the Sentry himself, he wears a sophisticated breathing device at all times to enable him to breathe our air.  Despite his alien origins, the Sentry has proven himself a brave and caring hero.
