Ruthless, patient and as cold as the steel she wields, the Jade Scourge arrived in the Rogue Isles a few months ago after having grown tired of her dominance over the Tokyo assassin-for-hire underworld.  In addition to her expert swordsmanship and remarkable agility, the Jade Scourge makes use of one or more ancient Japanese artifacts which grant her uncanny perceptions and reaction time in addition to making her almost impossible to detect.  

All factors indicate that the Jade Scourge, whoever she is, has an indepdendent source of wealth and takes marks not for the large sums of money she demands as payment but rather for the challenge of the hunt and the sadistic thrill of the kill. Because she works almost entirely as a free agent, efforts to uncover information about her history or identity have all met with abject failure, usually involving the grisly death of the investigating party.
