Bruce Barron was just another Paragon City street punk, proof that even in a City of Heroes, nonpowered men could still make a dishonest living. But when his broke into a Crey lab, a fracas involving several Paragon Protectors led to an experimental mutagen being spilled on him. Finding that the chemical had imbued him with the power to produce an electric charge in his fists, Bruce dubbed himself "Baron Shock", and began a crime spree that lasted weeks before he was finally captured by Longbow.
