Character Bio

One of the most powerful arcane figures in Praetorian Earth, Nykolaus's power was vast and terrible. However, in time Tyrant began to perceive his growing power as a threat and set to destroy him. For all his knowledge and power, Nykolaus knew he could not stand against Tyrant's wrath. He pored over dark tomes and consulted mysterious entites until he discovered a means to ensure his victory: immortality and mastery over life itself. Soon he was ready to begin the ritual that would grant him entry to the Gem of Litharge. As he entered the mystic portal, Nykolaus saw his prize, atop an altar of stone. As he went to take it however, Nykolaus felt an unbearable pain as his very soul was torn from his body. For his hubris in attempting to steal the gem his soul was imprisoned within it. After what seemed like ages, Nykolaus awoke to discover a strange new power. As he looked upon his lifeless body he held out a hand and it began to rise. He smiled and realized he had got what he wanted after all.
