Character Bio

Orphaned at an early age, young Susan Dempsey was raised by her beloved grandfather. He trained and bred pigeons and doves in his rooftop aviary in the heart of London. Guided by their gentle spirits, Susan became a Buddhist, studying the ways of Zen.

Then the Tsoo moved into her neighborhood, and most of the residents fled, and those who stayed faced terror every day. The day her grandfather died at the hands of a Tiger Enforcer, her life took a radical turn.

With nowhere to go, she entered the local Zen monastery, where she sought the teachings of the masters, especially in various forms of martial arts. After years of intensive training and meditation, she readied herself for her revenge.

Dressed in black as a symbol of her grief, Nightdove was born. Cloaked in stealth and striking without fear, she defeated the very same clan that killed her grandfather so many years before. She now serves the people of Paragon City, protecting the innocent and punishing the guilty.
