Character Bio

Dr. Susan Faraday, 6th generation descendant of Michael Faraday, was finishing up the week's research into the biological applications of electrical capacitance and inductance at the University of Liverpool, when a runaway high-voltage spike surged through her and rewired portions of her brain and body to form the ultimate biological capacitor, capable of safely storing and quickly discharging vast amounts of electrical energy.  She then spent years isolated at her family's estate at Hampton Court delving into the wondrous secrets of her new found powers.  One night she surprised a gang of robbers bent on plundering the manor house, and driven by fear and anger, she repelled the invaders with a full and convincing demonstration of  her new powers.  The world had found its newest hero, Voltanya.  She soon visited a colleague, Jonathan St. John Smythe in America, and he set her on the path of justice and freedom for the citizens of Paragon City.
