Character Bio

There are societies, ancient and arcane, of fanatic assassins, rarely mentioned, but feared by those who know. Agents slip into homes and snatch children, usually boys no older than 3, from their beds, often without waking them. Many cry, scream for their mothers, and harbor dreams of escape for years. Few ever do. Rather, they are brainwashed and trained to be the most skilled spies and assassins the world knows. They are taught to ignore pain and to remain still by the barbs embedded in their skin, cutting them slightly every time they move. They are drilled in ninjitsu, trained to fight with blades of every shape and size, and to be just as deadly without one. As they master each new skill, they recieve a tatoo on their torso or arms. A grand master is nearly covered in them.
Such a society trained Umbra Wraith, until he decided that life could be better outside the society. So he used the training they gave him to escape them, and set out to make his fortune by selling his sword.
