Character Bio

Born in an orphanage in Tzarist Russia, Maya Andrenov had no knowledge of her legacy as a descendent of the infamous sorceror Rasputin. As she aged, she found she had retained the pact with the dark forces first courted by her diabolical ancestor decades ago. Once her past became clear, she made an oath to use the powers for good rather than the selfish ends Rasputin had chased. She studied the ancient art of Iaijutsu in Japan under one of the last living masters of the discipline. Maya has now lived for over a century and shows no signs of aging. She has come to Paragon City to prove her commitment to her oath. Maya practices the three disciplines her master taught: Speed, Accuracy, and Surprise. These three disciplines combined with the legacy of her dark past will combine to make her one of the greatest heroes Paragon City has ever seen. @Bobitron
