Character Bio

Isabel Galván’s mother had fiery hair, and Isabel inherited every bit of that fire in both her locks and her temper. When she was four, her mother left one day and never came back. Grieved, her father Tiago simply mustered the strength to lovingly raise his three young children alone. When Isabel turned 15, he told her about her mother Ana’s true fate. Ana had been teaching at school the day the Rikti came. Sirens sounded, so she escorted her class to the cafeteria for safety. As the door closed, an explosion nearby shook the building and the blast wave blew the doors into the building – on top of her. Isabel’s rage at what the Rikti had done welled up in her, her face reddened and she began to glow. Flames and sparks arced around her, and her hair came alive. Tiago soothed his daughter’s temper, and told her she had her mother’s gifts and those gifts could be used to fight the Rikti. At 16, she entered a “special” school for kids like her and later joined the Legion of Valor.
