Mutant awakening can strike at anytime. Jessica Wein was a liberal arts major at Paragon U. Not much direction, mostly just hung out with friends and skipped classes.

During one intense make-up study session, she accidentally drained the intelligence from her study partner and room-mate, Josephene Katz. Using her brief, newfound intellect and previously unknown powers, she explored what she was capable of, stopping her first mugging that very night.

She registered the next day and, through special study programs, now fights crime for college credit. Her room-mate, on the other hand, now hates her for some reason . . .
