Character Bio

Night Widow Maria infiltrated the hero organization Sorciere in the 80s, even going as far as to marry its then-Executive Officer Phil Ayarane. When the Chief of Security at the time (Rei Dragonia) learned of Maria's true identity, the Night Widow's hand was forced-- she paid off Rei's lackeys to turn on her and kill her. By the time Phil and other senior officers learned what Maria had done, she was already laughing all the way to the Black Helicopter that had come to take her back to the Rogue Isles.

Ambitious, narcissistic and DEFINITELY not above using and throwing others away when it suits her, Maria has the perfect "stuff" to make it within Arachnos. She is always right, even when wrong. She credits her mentor Night Widow Nocturne for teaching her everything she needed to know, though some of Maria's detractors say that Nocturne had too much of an impression on her personality.
