Character Bio

Rhys Clarke, perennial bad boy.  Born in Wales, raised mainly in London, he found any means he could to lash out from being in a punk band to participating in violent rallies and protests.  In general, he obeyed the law, until  it took from him.

British troops, testing non-lethal sonic weapons on an anti-superhero rally, hit Rhys.  The blast destroyed his hearing and severly damaged his vocal chords.  The loss took him close to the edge, but the exploitation that came after pushed him over.

A scientist dangled tech that could restore his voice and hearing over his head in return for the murder of a rival.  When Rhys held up his end, the man did not, but didn't live to regret it.

Rhys' voice was restored, but his hearing is now purely through a headset which also amplifies and generates an artificial voice that can cause physical damage. Rhys grabbed the man's rad-generating gloves and remade himself as a villain.
