Character Bio

King Lionidas was a popular fellow . . . in the newspaper comic strips. The big, bumbling yet lovable king of Sparrrta in Grrreece captured the heart of a nation from the '60s onward, expanding into comic books, action figures, Saturday morning cartoons, breakfast cereals and eventually all types of merchandising.

When Decorum's arch-enemy Count Camus found and used the "Truth in Fiction" spell to bring a whole page of comic strip characters to life, things went as they usually do for the hapless Count. Most of the creatures stayed under his control, but King Lionidas broke free and turned on him. The vast amount of people who subconsciously thought of him as "real" infused him with the power to break the control and even remain here in our world once Camus was defeated as usual.
