Character Bio

Jennifer Westin's latent psychic and pyrochokinetic abilities manifested during the Rikti invasion. A resident of Chicago, she first exhibited her powers trying to protect her neighborhood against Rikti attackers in there. Witness to terrible loss of life and suddenly blessed with a way to combat those responsible, Jennifer jumped at the opportunity to oppose the Rikti. She answered Vanguard's call for metahumans to defend Earth. As the war ground away at Earth's defenses, Vanguard pooled its metahuman forces in the most defensible postions, and Jennifer was transferred from her home town to the defense of Paragon City.

During the final days of the war Jennifer was left in a coma after an intense Rikti mental assualt. Watched over by her surviving family, she woke two years after the war. Weakened both physically and psychically by her long incapacitation, she has spent the intervening time retraining her mind and body, and is ready again to take up the mantle of a protector of the people of Earth.
