The cold-blooded killer known as Diamondback Rattler is believed to be the mutant offspring of a renowned herpetologist who was bitten by so many venomous snakes during his career that his genetic material was damaged.

The infant was born with many reptilian characteristics. He possesses envenomed fangs mounted in a hinged jaw able to open far wider than a normal human mouth; bizarrely, retractable fangs grows elsewhere on his body as well. He is able to alter chromatophores in his scales to mimic the visual background and all but disappear. It is rumored that, as snakes were said to do in legends, his basilisk gaze can hypnotize a fully active man.

Although Diamondback Rattler is capable of speech, and presumably complex thought, his actions are dominated by the primitive reptile brain lodged deep within us all. The urge to strike rules him.

Regard as extremely dangerous.
