Kristal has come unstuck.

One of the youngest members of the Aleph Squad, Kristal was seemingly killed by Madame Calamity at the climax of the Dark Matter Singularity Affair.

In reality (to use term loosely) Kristal was thrown into an alternate universe! Shortly after arriving in Paragon City, Kristal slipped between dimensions--to another, different Paragon! Everything but the heroes were was the same. Sometimes, they know Kristal by a different name. (Is there another Kristal out there, shifting from Paragon to Paragon?)

Since then, Kristal has slipped from one "Paragon" to another, making friends (and enemies), and fighting the forces of death and destruction that plague all the different Paragon "shards" he's visited.

Apparently, the only place that seems to not change is what they call the Shadow Shard, where Kristal makes his home. It makes him a little crazy, never knowing which Paragon he'll see when he steps through the portal, but, frankly... he's seen worse.
