I?m Chris Simpson, from one of those 100s of Earths where super-heroes live only in books. Back then, when I was a plain, old detective, I found a computer program that opened a portal to a fantasy realm. Fresh from a divorce, I took the name of Dalghryn from a book I'd read and made the leap. Not long after, I met Kelsey Nightbreeze, known to most as Swiftsilver. We loved hard, adventured hard, and retired.

But I?d made enemies, enemies with friends called the Circle of Thorns. Thinking my portal could help their plans, they brought me here and stole my memories. But love knew no limits, and it wasn?t long until Kels made her way here. A lot of 'robes' died badly that day.

But, her trip was one-way, my portal was fried, and the nano-virus I?d contracted centuries back decided it was time to muck with my DNA again, giving me powers to protect me from the 'robes.' They call me a blaster now. As long as I've got Kels at my side, I really don't care.
