Character Bio

Adriana Branco became a US Army intelligence analyst in the late 1980s. Despite being a "desk jockey," her aptitude scores and medical records led to her eligibility for a top-secret cold war program: genetic and micromachine augmentation to create superhuman soldiers. Warned the process was dangerous and painful, Adriana volunteered out of patriotism. Her case was a success. Not all were so lucky.

A few years later the Soviet Union fell. Funding for Adriana's unit was cut soon after. She found herself on loan to various branches, ever deeper in backwater black ops. It took the Rikti War and her exemplary service there for her to find her way to an honorable discharge. 

Adriana's modifications mean she heals with shocking speed, is deceptively strong and durable, and wields her blades with unnatural, lethal grace. A registered hero with a soldier's abilities, she now gravitates to SWAT-style combat assignments as one of Paragon City's metahuman heroes.
