Character Bio

Many kids complain of monsters in their closet. Unfortunately for Brandon Feng, he was telling the truth. Haunted for years by the brooding presence in the shadows of his room, he had a decidedly unhappy childhood. As he grew into adolecence, the thing would drive away his friends, and it even attacked a young girl Brandon asked out on a date.

Brandon's salvation was a confrontation between Paragon heroes and the Circle of Thorns. Brandon witnessed the fight, and only he saw the Thorn Blade dropped into tall grass by a defeated caster. He waited for the scene to clear, took the blade and went home to confront his tormenter.

That fight scarred Brandon both physically and psychically, for Brandon did not know that Thorn Blades draw forth the soul of those they stab. When he plunged the knife into the hated shadow, it was drawn into him. Now its power is his. With it he can absorb energy in all forms, heat, motion, life itself. But especially light. And all of it he can channel into mighty blows.
