Character Bio

At the age of five Clara Giovanni was taken from her parents, poor Rogue Isles laborers, on the orders of a mid-ranking Fortunata. Taken for her natural psychic abilities, she was also found to carry a weak Mu bloodline. Indoctrinated by the Black Widows, she matured into a capable Fortunata Seer, ruthless and loyal to Lord Recluse, but showed no evidence of mystic abilities.

Arachnos often experiments on its agents, and Clara was "volunteered" for an attempt by Mu mystics to awaken her bloodline. The goal was to open a mystic gate and channel eldrich powers into her, but something went awry and Clara vanished through the gate. She was quickly written off, likely dead or worse.

Weeks later, heroes found Clara in Dark Astoria, fending off zombies with psionics and dark magic. Her uniform torn and dirty, she was mistaken for another hero and rescued. Moved by the compassion shown by her rescuers and disillusioned with her Arachnos masters, she has stayed on in Paragon, trying to fit the foreign role of hero.
