Character Bio

During the last weeks of the Rikti War, Daniel McCabe was a Marine officer on defense detail at a secret Portal Corp facility when it fell under assault. McCabe saved a number of lives by evacuating people from the facility after several operating portals were damaged in the attack. Before McCabe or the last few staff could escape, several open portals collapsed catastropically. McCabe was bathed in the uncontrolled energies of the portal fields and hurled clear of the explosions.

When he later awakened in a hospital, McCabe found doctors had been unable to operate on him due to a force field that sheathed his body. He had gained subconscious control of probability fields that gave him the ability to deflect harm from himself and redirect it into his own attacks.

McCabe has since worked hard to understand and control his powers. He obtained leave from his military position through unknown means and has joined the ranks of the new generation of Paragon Heroes.
