The desert is rife with diabolical things.

One such was the mage Ared ibn Faladh, human by birth, devil by nature and inclination. Scorning mortal women, he captured spirits born of the desert winds and forged their essence into magically crafted and talented women for his hareem.

But though their creator was evil, his creation were not. Revolted by their would-be master, the Windsisters turned upon ibn Faladh and slew him. But death only destroyed his body; the vile spirit lived on, worse than ever. Though no longer able to work his will on the Sisters, ibn Faladh still possessed the chain on their mortality. If ever he became mortal, the Windsisters would once against be bound - and all knew this time there would be no escape.

In hopes of redressing the evil they inadvertently unleashed, Khamsin and the rest of her sisters walk the mortal world, using their desert-born magic in the cause of good and endlessly searching for the elusive ibn Faradh.
