Jessica Durance is an also-ran. Name a beauty competition, and she's come in second, third or honorable mention. Her big weakness: the talent competition. Blessed with beauty, Jessica wasn't overly burdened with brains or coordination. She hit judges when she tried to twirl a baton, sang off-key and told the world she wanted to be an Ethiopian when she graduated from high school 'because they were sooo divinely skinny.' (That answer was given to her by a competitor. Jessica was too dumb to know it wasn't possible and that her competitor was torpedoing her.)

At her last lost contest, Jessica lost her temper and attacked the winner. It was then she found she'd had a talent all along: the ability to drain a little bit of youth and energy from anyone she hit.

Of course, that attack got her kicked off the beauty circuit for this year, and she did sort of get arrested. But now she's got a talent! With all the time she needs to practice, she'll get back on the circuit and win a crown.
