Character Bio

Jason Wethrin was the son of a Cambridge professor of Ancient Classics who focused on spiritualism, religion and magic in antiquity.  His mother was a noted archeologist and lecturer in Near Eastern Studies at Oxford.  Jason came to adulthood steeped in the arcane knowlege of the ancient world.  An archeologist himself, Jason fielded an expedition to the subterranean caverns in Peru.  After weeks of searching  for evidence of previous civilizations, he found a crystal in the shape of a human face.  He stared into the crystal and found his gaze locked, unable to pull away!  The crystal opened Jason to experience the void, but he stared into the void longer than anyone should, long enough to drive him mad.  Rather than disrupting his mental state, the crystal imbued Jason with powers and abilities he could not have imagined in his wildest imagination.  Jason had absorbed energy from the void and could now wield it at his command for justice.
