Character Bio

Artificial Astrid was created by Dr. Lars Johansson in his private laboratory. Dr. Johansson fashioned his creation after his daughter who tragically perished in an automobile accident a year earlier. Johasson mourned his loss and sank into a deep depression. Friends advocated that he pour himself into his work as a robotics engineer. He delved  listlessly into his work until an idea formulated in his mind, he would bring back his beloved daughter! Johansson worked tirelessly, becoming obsessed with seeing his daughter again. Two years of successes and a few setbacks, Johansson finished his ambitious project; Artificial Astrid was born. After weeks of Astrid existing purposeless in his home, Johansson decided to give her a function. Reading of the dramatic increase in criminal activity plaguing Paragon City, he knew the perfect occupation; Artificial Astrid would become a force for good, fighting crime!
