Freedom Corps operative, Sarah Dale only remembers snippets of what was the Kheldian she shelters.
On what appears to be a blue giant, two species coexist, dependent on each other: the first built cities to stabilize the burning atmosphere. The intense light does not mean its inhabitants are blind: they just adapted, and move by flying.
The second one has invested the deep layers with galleries supported by gravitational manipulators. The immense pressure forged the constitution of these beings insensitive to most damage.
Between these two worlds, bridges allow the transfer of energy and material resources, vital to everyone.
Why Sarah Can take the form of both species? It is possible that a member of a sunken ship could survive briefly to extreme conditions, infused with energy.
But his host, now isolated and different, had to leave to find a planet where it would fit.
