Sarracenia de Moray was abnormal from birth. Just what her parents had wanted. Brainless billionaires, they were flavor of the year activists swayed by a disguised Devoured, who used the witless couple to try to create the basis of a human-plant hybrid. What he created was a creature who would surpass him in arrogance and power both.

Even from childhood, Sarracenia knew herself to be a higher power in the plant world, able to twist any of them at her whims. Humans made for much more entertaining prey. And, if she was queen of one kingdom, why not another? So, like the beautiful but carnivorous pitcher plant for which she was named, she lured, then twisted key males to her cause, enjoying their pain even more than their help.

Too bad some were fragile superheroes. Too bad none could give what they got. Too bad Paragon City was so tiresome about insisting she submit to a lesser form of law.

In the Rogue Isles, it will be different.
