Miranda Kanz-Sterling, once the heroine Heat Mirage, formerly under cover as the villainness Black Mirror, nodded her thanks to the temporal tech.

Go back. She'd wanted that for the past six years of exile in the Rogue Isles.  Six years of pandering to the whims of a megalomaniac and riding herd on a dissolute sadist, all to gain control of the one genetics program which would allow her to correct the single flaw in the genome of the Kanz Families. A flaw which had been exploited to destroy half the world, to kill her brother, the greatest superhero of his time, and to expose her half-Daxamite kin to persecution.

When Orpheus made his tragic journey to Hades, he saved himself but failed to bring back the one he loved. Her trip to Hades had saved her brother, the Families and possibly the world. Only her conscience was still trapped and suffering.  She supposed that was a win.

Then the portal flared blue, taking her home.
