VX-1 Voidbreaker, defense and exploration suit. Advanced weaponry and AI. Experimental: plans lost in explosion. Return to outopost S-7 immediately for transport home...

Unfortunately for its creators, that didn't happen. The alien pilot of the suit managed to get himself and his exploration ship underway again - unfortunately, in his wounded state,  he entered the wrong coordinates.

Daniel Hollister was six months out of Afghanistan. The army was all he knew, and thanks to the wound in his leg, he couldn't keep serving. Civilian life wasn't working out just yet for him... He looked up, as he tended to, and saw the shooting star... getting brighter and brighter.

He went to the meteorite impact site to find a lot more waiting than just a chunk of rock.
