Character Bio

Emma Preston was the secretary to an American scientist during World War II. This scientist was leading a military project that would transform normal soldiers into super soldiers using specially prepared isotopes. While cleaning the chamber that would hold a soldier during the procedure a shortage in one of the control circuits triggered the computer to start the transformation procedure. The chamber was sealed with Emma inside it and she was exposed to the isotopes. When the chamber opened a few minutes later her physical structure had changed. Her muscles had strengthened, her bones were tougher and she possessed skills and reflexes beyond human capacity. Several tests later she was crowned the successful result of a scientific experiment that would help to end the war and reunite humankind. She was used as a patriotic symbol of hope and glory and named Miss Unity.
