Character Bio

The flames- I thought they would be my own power, built guantlets to 'tame' them, shape them, COMMAND them.

Laws meant nothing, I took what I wished. I Destroyed as I pleased. I burnt all without fear, thought myself too clever to be caught. Someone hated me for this. He took my Sarah, my beloved wife, to draw me out. I burnt the city that day to find her, and all I found was her charred body. Locked away, I pondered. It was I who killed her. I had disobeyed her, when she tried to  pursuade me away from crime. I did not care. I thought my flames could consume all.

Fool, flames should purify, not merely take away. All I wrought was pain, for me, for Sarah. For the world. This was my new mission: I would purify the earth.

Freed at last, I will bathe that which would murder and destroy in fire. No one else would cause pain as I had. No one else would kill another like Sarah. The one who took, burnt her? I pray my purifying fire will find them as well.
