Coming of age is never an easy thing, but I would venture to say mine was more difficult than most.

It didn't start well. I was a foster kid, my mom was too young to give me anything I'd need, so off I went. Growing pains were there as an awkward parentless kid got passed around. My hate for rule makers pushed me to run away and "find my own way."

None of that mattered when I head a breakout of crystaline ice spikes. Worse when I began freezing all near me- you try explaining that to a shelter. "Whoops, didn't mean to shank Susan in her sleep with an icicle and give her frostbite. Her bunk shouldn't have been so close!" I got over the drama by getting away,getting time. Even if it doesn't all make sense yet, I'm a big girl who can take care of herself.
 
So here I am. I'm in a place where I'm not a freak, and the city lets me spike perps to blow off steam. It's a good life.
