Character Bio

70 years ago the Circle of Thorns acquired an artifact known as the Obsidian Oracle.  They tried unsuccessfully to unlock its power for years. Recently the Circle acquired an ancient tome they believed contained the secret to unlocking the power of the Oracle. According to their translation of the text, they just needed a human sacrifice. Paragon police officer Samuel Blythe was kidnapped by the Circle to be that sacrifice.

Unfortunately for the Circle of Thorns, they had mistranslated the text of the ritual. Instead of being consumed by the energies of the Oracle, Samuel was instead imbued with them. Using his newfound powers Samuel easily escaped from the Circle of Thorns. Now he stalks the streets of Paragon City as Doomstrike.  His methods have caused Doomstrike to be labeled as a villain by the other heroes, but he doesn't care.  All he cares about is justice...or is it revenge?
