Character Bio

I was a PFC in the jungle wars of '65. Amids a search patrol my weapon jammed and I got seperated from my men. The enemy was closing in and I was already counting my fate. Then suddenly a big marine appeared at my shoulder. He looked at me and said that the boys called him Camouflage. At that moment the Viet Cong attacked again.

We fought all night side-by-side, and I wandered how the bullets missed this man. Because they seemed to go right through him... just as if he wasn't there. When the ambush came on top of us he just plucked a bullet right out of the sky... a bullet with my name on it! Then he finished them off by pulling a big palm tree right out of the ground, swatting those Charlies with it. Out of danger he winged at me from the jungle and was gone.

At my HQ I learned that Camouflage was already there... In fact he was there all week long and had passed away that very night. The medic gave me his dogtag, telling me that saving a young marine was his last wish.

And he kept on doing so...
