Character Bio

Carrie-Anne Stoddard is a former Portal Corporation scientist where her astrophysics skills helped refine the portal navigation system. Carrie was involved in locating a new dimension where she believed they could find the elusive Dark Matter. However, after her team crossed through the portal, dark energy beings assaulted the scientist immediately. Carrie directed the few survivors back through the portal before she entered. As she began to phase, a massive surge of dark energy phased with her. As Carrie reappeared, the energy focused through her nearly destroying the portal bay. Miraculously, Carrie survived; however, the surge left her body horribly ravaged and ultimately changed, she spent a year recovering. She learned that the accident turned her into a dark energy generator. Synapse learned of her fate he volunteered to help her control her abilities. When she was ready, Synapse dubbed her Dark NovaStar releasing her to join Paragon?s heroes to defend the city. A job she loves doing.
