Regina's story begins at her birth. Her mother realized soon that her father and his relatives were anything but the pious, virtuous men she had been led to believe. What she believed was an act of mercy, she stole her daughter in the dead of night and brought her to a convent to be raised as a nun, untouched. Then she ran herself as far as she could.

Perhaps in a kinder world things would have ended well for this act. But the criminal, cruel, incestuous necromancers of the Giovanni were not to let a child out of the fold. Regina spent until her fifteenth birthday in the convent but finally she was found and reclaimed. Her mother, tormented by fear ended her own life and her soul brought the information to her patient uncle who had waited all of those years.

Thirty-five years have passed, though she still resembles her twenty-one year old form. Dispatched to the Rogue Islands to pursue family business in Saint Martial, she has become intrigued by the conflicts and battles here.
