Character Bio

Even in the most loving and open homes, a girl's first period can be a traumatic experience. Contrast that with growing up with no female role model, no information and the fear that something is wrong that you cannot understand. The fear of bleeding to death from a place you don't understand. And then combine the awakening of mutant powers into that moment and you have the fractured psyche that possess young Adelie Masters. In a moment of fear and anxiety, her mind snapped and her latent gifts shattered her home around her, killing her drunken father and two abusive brothers.

Perhaps had the right hero found her, she would have been able to have been redeemed. Brought to therapy, helped to cope with the changes she was going through. But instead, the Longbow response team that swept into her home within a few minutes later saw only a creature capable of destruction and overreacted. Driven to percieve herself as a monster, she gave them exactly what it is they desired. A bloodthirsty beast.
